Public dashboard

A read-only traffic page for your site behind an unguessable link, with no account needed to view it. Money is off by default and every person-shaped panel is left out by construction.

Switching it on

Settings → Public dashboard. Nothing is public until you switch it on. The first switch-on mints the link, https://app.datastated.com/s/<token>, and the card shows it. The token is its own, separate from the money-side share portal at /p/, so one link can never open the other page.

What it shows

  • Visitors and pageviews tiles, with the change against the previous period.
  • The chart at the period's grain, with the previous period drawn behind it and the unfinished bucket dashed, the same rules as the owner's dashboard.
  • The period picker. Viewers change the period, and the link carries it the same way (?period=7d, or ?from and ?to).
  • The four breakdown panels: sources and campaign links, top and entry pages, goals and their properties, and audience (countries, browsers, operating systems, with the device split). An outbound links card appears when any were recorded.

If your plan's visible window clamps the owner's dashboard, it clamps the public page the same way. The public page never shows more than you see.

What it never shows

Buyers, journeys, funnels, notes and commits, the live visitor count, filters, segments, settings and the install tag. The payload the page receives does not contain them, so there is nothing on the page to hide.

Show revenue and orders

Off by default. Off, money is removed from the payload on the server before it leaves: no order count or revenue figure in any total, any day, any chart bucket or any breakdown row, drawn or not, and MRR, refunds and disputes go with it. Flip it on and the orders and revenue tiles appear and the chart can draw them.

"Let search engines list this page" is off by default, and off the page carries noindex, nofollow. Switch it on and the page becomes indexable. The link itself is never listed anywhere by us.

Regenerate or switch off

Regenerate makes a new link and the old one stops working immediately; send the new one out. Switching the page off keeps the token, so switching it back on later keeps the same link. An unknown token, a switched-off page, an unverified site and a paused site all answer the same 404, so a visitor cannot tell which one they hit.
